Sisters For Change is committed to protecting and promoting individual privacy. You can access all pages on this site without telling us who you are and without revealing any personal information. The type and amount of information we collect depends on how you use the website.

Anonymous data

We collect some information when you visit our site but this does not allow us to identify you personally. The information we collect includes the browsers visitors use, what time they visit and which pages are most viewed. This enables us to evaluate the site and work to improve it. We do not link any of this anonymous data with any personal data that you may provide to us.

Personal data

We collect and store personal data that visitors voluntarily supply in order to:

  • sign up to be kept informed of our work
  • become a member of Sisters For Change or renew their membership
  • join Sisters For Change Youth Brain Trust
  • make a donation
  • contact us to seek information or advice
  • sign up to a campaigning petition or statement
  • subscribe to a campaign email list to receive more information about our campaigning work
  • book a place on a Sisters For Change event


  • We keep your personal information in a secure environment and we do disclose it to anyone else except: 

  • where we have your permission (where you sign one of our campaigning petitions we will take this as consent to your support for the campaign being made public);
  • to other organisations who provide a service to us or you;
  • where we are required to do so by law.

  • Financial data

    We use the Paypal secure payment gateway for one-off donations, and accept ongoing payments via Direct Debit.

    We use the Paypal secure gateway for credit and debit card payments for donations, membership and the purchase of goods and services. Paypal asks for your name, address, phone, email address, and credit/debit card information. Your card details will only be retained by Paypal and its acquiring bank.

    Creating a new Direct Debit mandate online to support Sisters For Change requires your name, address, email address, and details of your bank account. This information is used to set up a regular Direct Debit payment with your bank and is retained by us securely in order to claim monthly or annual payments from your account as per your instructions. All transactions are covered by the Direct Debit Guarantee.
